Guide to Homecoming week

Osceola’s Homecoming theme for the 2015-2016 school year is “A Night in Paris.” Homecoming court voting is this Friday, September 25th at lunch. Tickets are $30 and go on sale for seniors on September 28th and for all grades, September 29th.

Before purchasing tickets, students must fill out, print and sign the “Heart of Homecoming Promise 2015,” which is located on the school’s website. Unlike last year, students are able to submit music they would want to be played at the dance, but the DJ would play the “clean” version. To submit music for the homecoming playlist is here.
Spirit Week is October 5th-October 9th. This year’s spirit days include: Character Day (Monday), Throwback Tuesday (Tuesday), College Prep Day (Wednesday), Generation Day (Thursday), and finally Spirit Day (Friday). For more information about Spirit Week, click here.

Acacia Nelson, junior, looks forward to Character Day the most out of the five days. “I like seeing different people in different costumes. It’s amusing. When you see someone, you’re like, “Oh yeah! I remember that character!”” Overall, Acacia looks forward to the homecoming game, which is on October 9th at 7:30 (Osceola vs. Tarpon Springs at home).

One junior, looks forward to College Prep Day. “My friends and I are going to dress up as sorority sisters. We’re going to order shirts and everything.”
Homecoming and football games are essential to the upcoming fall season. “I can’t wait to dress up and dance with my friends. It’s going to be a great night.” she added. Homecoming is an event where students can dance the night away (no dirty dancing. of course) and have a fantastic time while at it. The dance will be on a Saturday, October, 10th, in Osceola’s gym.
