Kramer ready to tackle Tennessee

Mr. Kramer, teacher of U.S History at OFHS for 9 years, is moving out of Florida, making this his last year at Osceola. Some have questions about this announcement; first of all, where, and second of all, why?

“Chattanooga, Tennessee. My wife got an amazing job opportunity there. She’s a lawyer,” said Mr. Kramer. As for what he’ll be doing in Chattanooga, Mr. Kramer assures he’ll get a teaching job there. “At some point, yes, though I don’t know when,” he said.

Mr. Kramer has had quite a history teaching, in other schools and here at Osceola. “Nine of my 15 years in the classroom have been here at Osceola,” he said. Through all this time, he has had one particularly fond memory, and it has to do with his other duty here at Osceola as the track and field coach.

“When Christina Tournant broke the record for the 300m hurdles,” he said. “It was a three month process working on it.”

Mr. Kramer has been a part of Osceola for quite a long time; in fact, he arrived before Osceola went fully fundamental.

He’ll have to adjust to his new environment in Chattanooga. So, here are five similarities and five differences between Tennessee and Florida.
DIFFERENCES

1) Florida has 7 letters, while Tennessee has 9.
2) Tennessee has numerous mountains, while Florida is known for being relatively flat.

4) The state flag of Tennessee has red and blue colors, while Florida’s state flag has red and white colors.
