According to Mrs. Gates and Mrs. Quimby, several Warriors have received awards for their artwork this spring. Due to the pandemic, instead of celebrating at a ceremony in New York, students will be honored online June 4.
Ashley Ross received a Gold Medal at the National Scholastic Art & Writing level. The 3dimensional sculpture is a building she created in Mrs. Quimby’s class as part of her AP 3D Portfolio. It’s titled “Beijing Apartment”.
Savanna Doty received a Silver Medal at the national level for her digital illustration piece titled “Blurred Silence” depicting the daily life as perceived by someone who is deaf.
In addition, Sydney Harris earned a spot as a finalist in the Walker’s Rising Star art competition.
