To show school spirit, students go all out for the dress up days. Monday was character day, Tuesday decades day, Wednesday college day, Thursday country day and Friday was class color day.

Homecoming week is a week that students look forward to. “It’s a fun week because everyone dresses up and it lets everyone show their creativity and spirit,” said freshman Emma Delorey. Another student said it’s a must. “People dress up because it’s fun and you can show school spirit. I think it’s lame when people don’t dress up for the week,” said sophomore Ryan Lueck.

Many students don’t just do the minimum.  Some go to extremes for the Homecoming week dress up days. On decades day, the seniors look forward to having an ’80s dance party during lunch and before school. On character day, some of the main characters that people dressed up for with their friends were Lilo and Stitch, Monsters Inc., and Winnie the Pooh. On college day, students dressed up to show their favorite sports team. Two of the most popular teams students represented were the Florida Gators and FSU. Students find it more fun to dress up with groups of their friends then to dress up alone.

“For country day, my friends and I dressed up as cowboys,” said Kevin Lester, junior.
