Last year was the first year the Jazz Blast festival was put on; with the outcome being such a success CAS did it again. On November 9th, Career Academy of Seminole (formally Seminole Vocational Education Center) held the second year of the Seminole Craft and Jazz Blast. It was complete with games, food, and fun being the perfect family event for the weekend.

It started at 10 A.M, admission was free.  There was a lot of entertainment including a 21 piece jazz band “Voices of Jazz”. Twenty-seven different vendors were available at the festival including different food vendors such as Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Joto’s Pizza, and Kiwanis Clubs of Seminole. For the kids there were arts and crafts sections, face painting, hay rides, a petting zoo, and phone engravings. From each of the classes at Career Academy of Seminole, students had their own vendors set up supporting their class. All of the money that was raised at the Seminole Craft and Jazz Blast 2 will be put back in the school to help fund the different programs at CAS.

Was the festival this year as successful as last years? “I had a lot of fun,” said Megan Gray, 12th Grade. “If someone wanted to have a good weekend that was the place to go; I hope they do it again next year.”
