Congratulations to three student journalists for their awards received at the Florida Scholastic Press Association District 4 competition at USF-Tampa Oct. 5. 

Kaylie Murphy, 12th grade, of The Warrior Record student newspaper, won first place for her series of photos depicting students in the Marshall Center during an “On the Spot” photo competition.

Hailey Perdue, Warrior Record staff member, and Luke Fender, 2011-12 Journalism 1 student, shared a byline to win third place in the Feature Writing competition. Luke and Hailey’s story was on Erma McKimm, a beloved custodian at OHS.
