If you haven’t “heard,” the new play “Rumors” will hit the stage November 8th -10that OHS. The story, written by Samuel French, begins with four couples that arrive in New York City celebrating the deputy mayor and his wife’s tenth anniversary. In their surprise, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the mayor has shot himself in the head. Because of upper class guests, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s event form the local police and the media, this is when the play becomes amusing.                        Finding the cast for Rumors took place September 5th   in the auditorium at 1:00pm. “When auditioning for the part a group of girls sat on the front row in the auditorium and we all had to do a monolog, and I got the part of… basically an alcoholic. My character was just getting over being addicted to drinking, and then on top of that me and my husband and others are trying to cover up a suicide,” said Zena Griffin, 11th grade, who got the part of Chris Gorman, an attractive rich young lady married to Ken Gorman.                                                                                            Being part of a play is very hard work, according to Zena, “I have to pretty much know everyone’s part in the play, I have to rememorize the whole book.”                                                      Many students seem eager to go see the play.                                                                                Samantha Pifer, 11th grade, said, “The play rumor looks extremely interesting and I can’t wait to see my fellow classmates preform on stage, and I’m going to sit on the front row. I have considered taking drama because I like to act and be dramatic.”                                                                  Molly Brennan, 9th grade, said, “I may go, the sign looks interesting I did plan on taking drama but that would have been to may electives and I needed more academic classes.”
