The Super Bowl halftime show was performed by Beyonce and Destiny’s Child. Destiny’s Child has been broken up since 2003 and seeing them perform drove their fans wild.

Emily Drake, 9^thgrade,said , “ Beyonce looked really good it was very exciting. I haven’t seen Destiny’s Child in a long time so it was very exciting to see them too, they were good.”

Danilo Brown, 12^th grade, said, “I loved the performances, my wife Beyonce was doing her thing but when Destiny’s Child came out, I was so excited and was in awe.”

Some students thought the opposite of Destiny’s Child.  Jonathan Colon, 12^thgrade, said, “Beyonce was pretty hot, but Destiny’s Child was whack and that girl on the right (Michelle) looked off.”

There was a rumble about the lights giving out during the half-time show. Some fans thought it was Beyonce’s fault.

According to the Washington Post  it was because the Mercedes-Benz Superdome had a piece of equipment that is designed to monitor electrical load and sense any abnormalities in the system. Once the issue was detected, the sensing equipment operated as designed and opened a breaker, causing power to be partially cut to the Superdome in order to isolate the issue.
