To kick off Osceola’s Spirit Week for 2013, today, Monday, is College/University day. On this day, Warriors don their university and college shirts, and wear them to school. The day is the spiritual successor to last year’s Flock day, where students formed groups in which the students would wear similar outfits.

Throughout the day, students have been seen wearing everything from simple university shirts to war paint, and even one student with a hat shaped like a Gator’s head. But perhaps the most interesting thing of all is the appearance of Flock U T shirts, the students’ response to University day.

Flock University obviously doesn’t exist, but it still works, as it bridges the gap between Flock day and University day. However, the origin of Flock U is not clear.

“Someone decided to do it, so we did too,” one senior said.
