The generation gap widens at Osceola

Osceola’s sprit week nears its end as the 4th day, Generation Day, arrives. On this day, warriors from each grade level show their school spirit by dressing as different generations. Freshmen dress as babies, sophomores as kids, juniors as adults, and seniors as seniors. All sorts of attire have been spotted today: bibs, onesies, overalls, suits, canes, and even sunhats.

The seniors took it to a whole different level, acting out their parts. They not only walked slowly, but even talked like actual senior citizens. Two examples were Angela Alfonso and Gabi Machacek, two 12th graders who both dressed as seniors, complete with the dresses, walkers, and glasses.

“It’s a tradition at Osceola that goes way back,” Angela said about them in their attire.
