Spontaneous Spain trip

On June 15, 2015 the Spanish classes will have the opportunity to travel to central, northern, and eastern Spain to experience the unique Spanish culture. “We will begin the ten day tour in Madrid; we’ll travel to Segovia to see the aqueducts, Burgos, Bilbao and San Sebastian. We’ll move on to Pamplona and end up in Barcelona,” said Ms. Howe, a Spanish teacher. The cost of traveling to Spain will be $3100.

“Students will have the opportunity to communicate with locals, order in restaurants, listen to authentic music and visit many historical sites,” said Ms. Howe.    “We’ll eat traditional foods and meet local Spaniards along the way,” said Ms. Howe. Students will also finally get to experience “the sound of the language, and all aspects of the experiences of living and breathing the essence if my favorite country in Europe,” said Ms. Becker, a Spanish 1 and 2 teacher.

“I’m excited to expose students to life, people and culture in Spain. It makes all of our hard work in the classroom real and meaningful. This trip also allows students the opportunity to speak and communicate with people from other parts of the world in another language,” said Ms. Howe. “I’m excited to visit my friends that I have been in contact with since 1994,” said Ms. Becker. “If I am able to go, I would love to experience the different culture that I have been studying for two years such as the food and different buildings and finally hear the language,” said Megan Welch, 9th grade.
