Tired and stressed students hate the week full of two hour exams, the confusing schedule, and constant review and studying.  According to many students here at OHS, exams are awful for countless reasons.  “I hate taking the time to study and prep for the test,” said Madison Brown, 9th grade.   Some students say the preparation takes more time than the tests.  “Studying for so many tests are the worst,” Sydney Culbertson 9th grade also said.

Not only are the studying and preparation non-enjoyable, but the confusion on exam week can cause a frustration according to 9th grader Rachel Cruz.  “The schedule is confusing and annoying to keep track of.”  Aside from the time it takes to prepare and the confusing schedule, the stress of it seems to be the worst part about taking exams according to Lauren Morris 9th grade.  “The exams stress me out so much and I have a lot of pressure to excel.”

According to the CDC, tests can cause a big amount of stress.  “A prolonged amount of stress can affect your health and ability to cope with life.”   CDC also mentioned that physical and emotional tensions are often signs of stress as well.  Several tips are provided on this website in addition to the information.
