Mrs. Finley and two female web editors of journalism take a pic to represent women in administration.

International women’s day was established in 1975 after World War 2 on March 8th. The growing celebration of women has been honored by four Global United Nations women’s conferences according to www.un.org. March 8th is a day to remember the suffrage that women fought for. Women were granted the right to vote by the 19th amendment, enacted in 1920 on August 20th. For years after they were challenged by prejudice and strife, but they continued to fight for their equality. And now, there is an International Day to celebrate them. When asked to take a photo to celebrate the day, Mrs. Finley cheered and showed excitement.
