Every year, FBLA members participate in numerous activities, such as things like state and national conferences. However, all these activities come with a cost for students who want to participate. To lower some prices and fund other things the club does, they hold several fundraisers throughout the year. Back in the fall, students sold chocolate bars to raise money to attend the state leadership conference that happened over spring break. Coming up on May 4th, FBLA will be holding their 10th annual golf tournament fundraiser at the Bardmoor golf club. FBLA members describe this as being an important event to their chapter and are enthusiastic about raising money for the club.

. To play, it is $75 per individual, and participants are grouped into teams of 4. Participating in the tournament is one way to contribute to the cause, but there are several other ways to play a part in this fundraiser. For instance, students can visit businesses and ask them to sponsor holes, which they are often willing to do, as “it’s a great way to promote themselves”, according to FBLA on the Osceola Fundamental website. There are four levels at which a business can sponsor a hole. Bronze, which is $100 and includes a hole sponsor sign and recognition on tournament handouts, Silver, which is $250 and additionally provides recognition on the marquee at Osceola, Gold, which is $500 and additionally includes a twosome in the tournament, and finally Platinum, which is $750 and includes 2 more tournament participants, covering a foursome in total. It is also encouraged to donate things to put into gift baskets for the raffle that will take place as well at the tournament. FBLA is also asking for donations for swag to give to participants, along with prizes for winners. To view more information, as well as fill out the form to sign up, go here on the school website.
