Warriors back from break

After a week-long Thanksgiving break, students returned to school ready for a new day. From cheerleading in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade to participating in Black Friday shopping, students had variety of activities to do over break.
Morgan Megna, 12th grade, got the chance to take part in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. “It was the most amazing experience ever. Everyone was so happy. You saw people in buildings as tall as 40 stories even just looking down at you and waving. It was the happiest moment in my entire 18 years of living,” she said. Each year, the senior cheerleaders on the football and basketball team are invited to try out for All-American at UCA Cheer Camp, which in turn, led to Morgan joining in the parade.
Madison Vaughan, 10th grade, traveled to Hawaii over the break, “The trip was a surprise. I had a great time. My family and I went snorkeling, surfing, and went to the Dole plantation. We also hiked Diamond Head and took pictures,” she stated. “I had Thanksgiving Dinner in Hawaii, but our flight back to Florida was at five so we had to eat quickly.” Madison added.
Sophomore Taylor Eaton, participated in Black Friday shopping, “It’s my second time going shopping on Black Friday. I went to the Tampa Premium Outlets in Wesley Chapel,” she added, “I got to the mall early, so it wasn’t as busy I thought it would be.”
Now that Thanksgiving break is over, teachers are preparing students for the upcoming exams. Students will have three weeks until Winter break.
