So many clubs are being offered to the student body this year. One of them is FBLA, which stands for Future Business Leaders of America. This club is an organization for students who are interested in business careers where they gain experience and have an opportunity to compete. They can even win awards in state and country-wide competitions. The members elected a new president, and this year’s FBLA nominee was Connor Hill, 11th grade. He has very high expectations for this year and is excited to be a prominent leader and role model for new students.

“My goal this year is to get more members into the club and teach them how to properly present themselves in a professional environment; that is what FBLA is all about” said Connor. He hopes that all the talent that has been brought to the club this year will allow even more students to go to states than last year. But even with more competition among members, FBLA students find this a fun event where you can meet new people.

“It’s a club that allows you to meet new people who have the same achievement goals as you do, and it’s a lot of fun” said Hill. He is especially excited for the meet on October 13th called ‘District Fall Rally’ which kicks off the new FBLA year.

“A speaker is going to teach us how to present ourselves professionally and capture the audience’s attention, hopefully this will help our club (members) become even better speakers,” said Hill.
