Two students, Sarah Sanders and Abby Quinones, are hoping to start a new club on campus called “Project 7”. The club was founded by a coordinator for the Pentecostal denomination of the Christian church and strives to ‘unlock faith, unleash truth, elevate Christ, and serve others’ according to Abby. “I want to start this new club at school to show students a deeper level of Christianity,” said Abby.

According to p7online.com, “Project 7” is based off of 7 core values that are based off of the “Project 7” curriculum, ‘accountability, communication, empowerment, integrity, leadership, relationship, and community’. “Based on these 7 core values, the student led club would go into more depth about the word of God and how it is expressed in our own lives,” said Abby. There is a club called Oasis on campus that is very similar to the Project 7 club in their message toward students, and the hope is that both clubs will work together so that students can attend both clubs to get more information.

“We want to expand information to students about God and Christianity, and the way to do that is promoting both clubs as much as possible,” said Abby. Sarah Sanders is also a founder of this proposed club and is excited about the possibility of expanding this new religious club out to the student body.

“I am a member of Oasis and they give awesome messages to students; I hope that I can also supply my own messages through this club,” said Sarah. Sarah explains that she sees people who are ashamed or afraid to share what they believe in. “I want students to be able to share their beliefs in a way that they feel comfortable and not judged at all” said Sarah. Both girls hope for a good turn out once they pick a day to have their meetings. “We both hope to see students who are excited for the Project 7 curriculum and are ready to focus on their faith,” said Sarah.
