Osceola raids Northeast, comes out with big win

The Warriors were on the verge of staying under a .500 winning percentage on the year as they were 1-2 coming in to the game and they wanted to come out of it with a record of 2-2 so they could have that .500 winning percentage. “We have a game plan and we would like to follow that game plan” said Coach Palmer. The Warriors started off the game strong with a Travis Wateska 3-yard touchdown run to make the lead 6-0 Warriors. The Vikings then come back with a touchdown making the lead 7-6 Vikings. At the end of the first quarter, the Vikings lead the Warriors 7-6. To start off the second quarter the Vikings score a touchdown to make the lead 14-6. Quarter back Ryan Allan then tied the score 14-14 with a touchdown run and the Warriors went for two points since they missed the extra point on their first touchdown and they got the two points. The Vikings then scored another touchdown making the score 21-14 Vikings. At halftime the Vikings lead the Warriors 21-14. In the beginning of the third quarter a fight breaks out between the two teams right next to the Vikings sideline, the fight happened when the Vikings were on offense and the Warriors were on defense. No one got thrown out because of the fight as it was broken up not to long after it started, but if it had carried on the Warriors would’ve been out numbered for a little and someone would have been thrown out. The Warriors then made a big stop on 4th and 20 as the Vikings had the ball and they were lined up to kick a field goal but instead they tried to fake the field goal and tried to pick up the first down but they failed. The third quarter then came to an end with the same score from halftime, Vikings lead 21-14. To start off the fourth quarter, Isaac Rosenbluth caught a touchdown pass to tie the game at 21-21. The Vikings then go down on their next drive and kick a field goal making the score 24-21. The Vikings make a costly mistake on their kickoff by kicking the ball a very short distance to give the Warriors great field position. To help out the Warriors even more, Chad Brittain had a great catch for a huge gain to put the Warriors even closer to the end zone. The Warriors capitalized off of Chad’s catch with a Travis Wateska touchdown run to give the Warriors the lead 28-24. Just as the Vikings were moving down the field trying to take the lead, they fumbled the ball just as they were ready to score and the Warriors recover. With the Warriors recovering the fumble they were insured the win, linebacker Jaden Celeste was the one who recover the fumble. “The team got us to that point and someone had to make the play in that situation” said Jaden. When Jaden gained possession of the ball everyone went crazy, “big play in a crucial situation, if he doesn’t strip it out and recover it then they have 1st and goal” said Palmer.
