Staff writer Shianne Auriemma talks to Deputy Shorter about the “quiet” days at Osceola.

Does the school bell being broken have anything to do with a senior prank, or nah? According to Deputy Shorter, this definitely wasn’t a senior prank. “I’m sure they are trying to take credit for it but even if it was them, tampering with public stuff is a crime.” Shorter said he’s not sure why it’s not working. “Usually it would show technical difficulties before breaking but it just stopped working out of nowhere.” That was just fine with one Warrior. Samantha Howdeshell, 11th grade, said, “it hasn’t really affected my day, it’s pretty simple. It’s actually more peaceful not hearing the loud bell.”

Assistant Principal Mr. Robertson said, “Basically the main motherboard failed. Now the challenge is to get new replacement technology to ‘communicate’ with 80s technology.” The bell is now up and running.
