Osceola’s award-winning literary magazine has arrived! Elizabeth Cahill passed out several Oracle copies to students from the stage in the auditorium this morning.

Students can stop by today, Monday and Tuesday to get their pre-purchased copy.

Seniors won’t miss out even though most have finished out the year. According to Oracle adviser Mr. Pace, if a senior ordered one, it will be attached to his or her diploma at graduation.

Erin Stein, 11th grade, created the cover. According to art teacher Mr. Locascio, Erin’s work started as an AP art assignment and it won a Scholastic Arts Gold Key this year. “It is a charcoal drawing done on black paper,” Locascio said.

Erin said she chose the subject, a girl in water, because “I’ve been wanting to try to draw water for a while and I like drawing people, so it was a good combination.” Stein said she incorporated translucent and transparent materials.
