With the interest in golf declining in the past decade, (five million golfers have left the game) many golf courses in America have adopted FootGolf in order to attract more patrons. This includes Largo Golf Course. FootGolf is just like regular golf, but instead of clubs and a little ball, you use your feet and a soccer ball.

FootGolf has no specific origin but, the first official tournament was played in the Netherlands in 2009 and the game came to America in 2011. The game is fairly similar to golf in how you keep score and win. Just like golf, the goal is to get the soccer ball into the hole in as few shots as possible.

The FootGolf greens are located either next to, or near the normal golf greens with special 21 inch cups made in order to accommodate for the soccer ball. Prices are relatively cheap, starting at 10 dollars for walking, and 9 or 15 dollars if you want a cart. The price goes up to 15 dollars for walking and 20 for a cart when you play 18 holes.
