During Mr. Rossicoe’s first year at OFHS, he was already involved in supporting activities and knew a little about this school. He said, “I have been a part of band booster here for three years.” His connection to the school system started even earlier. Before working at this school, he had already worked for the district, which gave him experience and a strong understanding of how the schools operate.
Now, he works as a front desk clerk and one of the first people faces you see coming into the school, as well as serves as band booster president. He enjoys being part of the school community and often shares how much it means to him. In fact, he said, His role at this school allows him to interact with students, staff, and families while also supporting the band and color guard programs.
Although he is not a teacher, he has thought about what subject he would choose if he ever had the opportunity. He explained, “If I could teach anything here it would be engineering because I like 3D printers.” His interest in engineering shows that he likes technology and hands on learning.
At the same time, his strongest passion remains with the band and color guard, as he also said, “But I really love band and color guard so if there was a clerk job around just doing that, I would want to do that.” His dedication to these programs reflects his commitment to supporting students and helping activities succeed behind the scenes.
Through his work at the front desk and his leadership as band booster president, Mr. Rossicoe continues to play an important role in this school every day.
