“Hard work and a lot of study is a big part of what it takes to be top of the class, but in the end it simply comes down to grade point average. There are lots of people who could easily be number one instead,” said this year’s Valedictorian, Connor Krajnic.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 1st, Connor was announced as Valedictorian of Osceola’s class of 2016 along with Justice Galaris who is this year’s Salutatorian. A celebration was held in the Principal’s Conference Room where Mr. Bohnet, administration, some teachers, and Galaris and Kranjnic’s families saw the Warriors find out who was valedictorian and who was salutatorian.

“We want our students to be surprised. This is my favorite time of the year because I get to announce valedictorian and salutatorian,” said Mrs. Mowatt. Neither Galaris nor Kranjnic knew who would be valedictorian or salutatorian until Tuesday morning.

“You’ve worked extremely hard, and I know there’s a lot of times you would’ve liked to be with your friends and you were studying and I commend you for that,” said Mr. Bohnet.

Mrs. Mowatt, Mr. Bohnet, Mr. Robertson, and others all spoke about how proud they were to see these two young men reach such an accomplishment. “Being salutatorian is a big honor and I am very pleased that I can say I am second in my class in a group of amazingly talented individuals,” said Justice Galaris.
