Sophomore Paige Tepper is selling bracelets for $1.00 during first and second lunch this week to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes. After this week, students can still purchase bracelets by going up to her personally at school. According to Paige, the money raised is going to JDRF, an organization that is looking for a cure for type 1 diabetes.  Paige was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was just 3 years old. Paige stated, “for some unknown reason my pancreas does not produce insulin on its own” and also added “living with type 1 diabetes can be frustrating and challenging. I don’t let this disease hold me back”.
