As prom creeps closer, students will be picking out their attire. Belle of the Ball is a non-profit organization that provides dance dresses to students with low household income. It is a “100% volunteer organization,” and dresses are provided by students by donation. The organization’s mission statement is “no girl should be denied the opportunity to attend her high school dance because of financial difficulties.”

Belle of the Ball was founded in 2003 and there is a specific, arranged time in which girls can go to get their dresses without needing to make an appointment. There are a few forms required to be filled out before picking out and taking home a dress. More information such as volunteer opportunities, forms, and dates can be found on their website, at belleoftheballproject.com
