As the end of the third quarter is approaching, the class of 2026 has just over one quarter left as seniors! Yet these students are still looking forward to many different occasions that are on their way. In a poll that took place on the website last week, senior Warriors voted on what they were most excited for out of the following four events: graduation, grad bash, prom, or the senior cruise. Results of the study show that graduation received the most votes, coming out on top.
“I’m most excited for graduation because I’m ready for the next steps of my life to come. I feel like I have a bright life ahead,” says Osceola senior Maddie Hazlett.
This year, the Warriors will return to Tropicana Field to walk across the stage. Weather disturbances that impacted the area in late 2024 caused graduation for the Osceola class of 2025 to be at Clearwater’s The BayCare Sound. For other previous years, though, the event has consistently taken place at the Trop. The set date for this year’s ceremony is Saturday, May 23rd, starting at 6:15 pm.
Though more people voted for graduation compared to any other option, seniors are still very excited about the other three choices. For example, senior Shea Griffiths voted for grad bash in the recent poll.
“I am most excited for grad bash” she says. “You have the opportunity to go to both of the parks for a low price”.
Those who are seeking a thrill and a bang for their buck chose grad bash as their cause of excitement in the activity, just like Shea. For this event, students purchased tickets earlier in the quarter for a trip to Universal. The buses for transport will leave on April 18th at 4pm.
The last two events, prom and the senior cruise, are actually coming up the closest. They are both this month! Seniors are quite literally counting down the days to spring break and the cruise- seriously, go check out the spring break countdown on the news website! Lastly, prom will be held at the St. Petersburg Coliseum on March 28th. This year’s theme is “golden hour”.
