Ten years ago today, April 17th, 2014, there was this piece written about a track athlete named Darian Hooker. It is cool to read about someone who found his niche in those other events. Reading this again now, ten years later, it makes you appreciate that track isn’t just about speed. There’s so much skill and power in the throwing and jumping events. Guys like Darian, they bring a whole different kind of athleticism to the sport.

Where is the man, the myth, the legend now? Who knows, but he really enjoyed track.
