Is AI really that bad? AI has sparked lots of controversy throughout the years and has
become a very prominent issue. Some say AI is “The worst thing ever.” While others say, “It
is a very useful tool.”

Artificial Intelligence has improved drastically with the development
of technology over time and now it is so improved that AI can do tasks for us. This creates
another question of whether AI will just take over human jobs leading to no humans
needing to do anything. AI has so many different opinions on whether it is good or bad, and
I personally believe that there are many pros and cons. According to bestofsno.com, some
pros of AI is to help summarize notes and explain a topic from a class which is efficient and
helpful. Bestofsno.com also talked about a teacher using Artificial Intelligence in
classrooms to help summarize, generate images, and create graphs for assignments but
he “requires his students to verify all the information they find and show the sources
used.”

Another site, acton.org, stated that, “Ordinary consumer products such as Siri,
Alexa, and Google are all examples of A.I.” and these are useful products that many people
use daily. Both these pros are useful and can speed up work time, but there are issues
that come along with A.I. A.I. is not always trustworthy and is able to mess up information
without you truly realizing. Along with that Artificial Intelligence poses many threats and
“breaches of privacy” to society, as acton.org has stated. To conclude, Artificial Intelligence
can be used for good and bad, but it all depends on how and why the user uses it and now
with the advancement of technology in upcoming years, A.I. will either help or harm our world.
