On this day, March 3rd, 2017, the Warriors held a Sadie Hawkins dance in the auditorium.
“Warriors boogied out in ’80’s clothing, including scrunchies, leg warmers, and crimped hair.
In a Sadie Hawkins dance, the girls ask the boys to the dance. The dance was hosted by the theatre Troupe 3507. Students paid five dollars to get in, and all the proceeds went to fund Troupe 3507 for a trip to the Florida State Thespian Festival.
As reported by the Warrior Record Online on March 9th , in the article “Back to the 80’s at the Sadie Hawkins”, Mr. Pace, the theater teacher said, “We decided to do an ’80s dance because there’s a really great selection of songs from that era that are fun to dance to, and we’re hoping to have more of a dance party feeling for Sadie’s”.
