Students partake in the fish throwing contest, one of the many activities at the senior Olympics.

On Monday, May 16, the senior class had its annual senior Olympics. The activity lasted from 6 to 7:30pm, with the senior class playing different games. Some of the activities included a nasty food relay, sack relay, wheelbarrow relay, jump rope relay, skateboard relay, and mullet toss. Seniors had the opportunity to pick their teammates and their group color.
One senior was part of the “Titanic Swim Team” and the color that represented the members of the group was green. “I was really excited for the senior Olympics because I had heard so much about them and it seemed like a great time.” he said. “My favorite part about the senior Olympics was when we had the skateboard relay. We played different relay races and there was a challenge where we threw a fish into a bucket which was actually pretty fun.”

He explained one last event.  “The final challenge was when we had to decorate our team captain,” he added. “My favorite senior activity up to this point was definitely the picnic because we could all let loose and celebrate summer coming in a matter of days.”

Chase Achuff, senior, and his team chose the color white for their squad. “I was pretty excited for the senior Olympics. I didn’t really know how fun it would be going in, but it turned out to be a great time.” Chase stated. Chase’s favorite activity at the Olympics was the skateboard relay.
