As homecoming season sneaks up on us, the Student Government is working hard to put it all together. The student government had several meetings to determine what the Homecoming dress up days would be, although they had to submit them to be reviewed by administration. Yet, this year’s dress up days are causing mixed feelings with seniors. This year, generation day was removed from this year’s dress up week. Senior Ryan Fehr explained, “I can understand why we took it out. It is kind of making fun of older people”. While Ryan understood why generation day might be removed, Adam Oakes had a different opinion towards it. Adam stated “It’s lame for it to be taken out. I enjoy seeing what people come up with”. Since generation day has been removed, there are new ones filling in the spots. The dress up day themes for this year are college day, neon day, character day, school spirit, and decades day. The themes have not been assigned to a set day yet.

Since homecoming is the twenty-second, dress up week starts the seventeenth. Besides the change with the dress up day themes, the PSAT will be on the 19th which is one of the dress up days. Head of the Student Government Ms.Roush came up with a possible idea for seniors that day. As Ms.Roush explained “we may have a possible banner making, or pillow case making that day for the seniors, in the auditorium”. Since many seniors won’t be taking the PSAT, it was a possible idea to keep the seniors busy. Yet, all stated plans are subject to change and students will be brought with updates throughout the month leading up to homecoming week.
