Softball swings into action

With the softball season starting up, tryouts are in full swing. Ella, 11th grade, said, “I’m excited because I’m looking forward to going out on the field and playing. In the future, I want to play in college, but not D1.”  Meghan, 9th grade, said, “I haven’t been able to play due to injury, so I’m looking forward to being able to get back out there. It is something to look forward to and playing makes me really happy.” Softball is so important in Meghan’s life, and she says that the sport gives her “so much joy”. For her first season with Osceola, she says she is “super hopeful for the new season.” Marlow, 9th grade, said, “I’m excited to grow as a person and perfect my skills.” Having practice five days a week should give all of the girls plenty of experience and time to make themselves better as players. Marlow also said, “I like playing with my friends and enjoy the competition and winning.” The thing about softball is that you get to see your teammates all the time, so you “make friends pretty quickly.” Sydney Vaughan, 10th grade, said, “I am happy to be back out there. I just came back from tearing my ACL, so I’m excited to finally be playing again. It is great talking to the girls and making friends with the new players.” “Softball also relieves my stress; it is good to let all my energy out and get away from school.”
